Get to know our Transport Manager Bryan Scott as he reflects on his time at SolarFrame.
What experience do you have in the industry and what brought you to SolarFrame?
I have over 20 years experience as a Transport and Logistics Manager, with experience working for three well recognised window companies.
What does a typical day at SolarFrame look like?
There are never two days the same - you name it, we do it! I manage the transport team and between ourselves we plan deliveries, liase with customers, schedule the servicing and maintainence work for the entire fleet, as well as speaking with dealers about potential van purchases. We work closely with both factories to ensure delivery deadlines are met and liaise with our drivers so they are fully aware of the schedule and planned deliveries.
What makes SolarFrame different to other manufacturers?
I don’t think it’s biased to say that SolarFrame stands out from the crowd by offering an unparalleled delivery service. Working together with our sales and manufacturing team, we can deliver your order within five working days of your signed order*. Our current OTIF is 98%, which we are really proud of! Our OTIF goes hand in hand with customer satisfaction and trust in supply chain.
What recent investments has SolarFrame made into their logistical department?
We’ve recently purchased eighteen new vehicles across the entire SolarFrame group. Including a 12 tonne night sleeper Iveco truck, which will help us to improve efficiency with our longer delivery journeys.
How do you like to relax?
I love golfing, when I get chance! Along with gardening, DIY and going on holiday, but what I love most is spending time with my grandchildren.
